AC works with laboratories — not around them.
AC's primary work is helping clinical laboratories develop their facilities, build their test menus, and achieve accreditation under ISO 15189, CAP, and JFDA frameworks. For tests that go beyond current in-house capability, AC also coordinates access to internationally accredited reference laboratory partners.
Advanced Consensus was built to address a structural gap in the region's diagnostic landscape: laboratories with the ambition to offer advanced molecular and genetic testing, but without a clear path to build the infrastructure, quality systems, and accreditation needed to do it credibly.
AC's core work is laboratory development — helping clinical laboratories design workflows, expand test menus, implement quality management systems, and navigate the accreditation process under ISO 15189, CAP, and JFDA frameworks. This is not a training-only service. AC works alongside laboratory teams through the practical steps of building a functional, compliant diagnostic operation.
For tests that a laboratory cannot yet perform in-house, AC maintains access to internationally accredited reference laboratory partners in molecular oncology, rare disease genomics, prenatal screening, and pharmacogenetics. This gives laboratories — and the physicians they serve — a complete pathway: build what can be built locally, access what cannot yet be.
The model
AC works with clinical laboratories to develop their physical infrastructure, analytical workflows, quality management systems, and staffing competencies — building the foundation for a credible, sustainable diagnostic operation.
AC guides laboratories through ISO 15189, CAP, and JFDA accreditation pathways — from initial gap assessment through documentation, internal audit preparation, and post-inspection follow-up. Each framework is addressed according to the laboratory's specific scope and stage.
For tests beyond current in-house capability, AC provides pathways to internationally accredited reference laboratories covering molecular oncology, rare disease genomics, prenatal screening, and pharmacogenetics — keeping patient care uninterrupted while local capacity is built.
AC assists laboratories in selecting, validating, and clinically framing their test menu — ensuring offerings are matched to physician needs, specimen capabilities, and reportable clinical context. Reports from reference partners are reviewed for completeness before delivery.
